Researchers from the Vector Borne Disease Lab of the Maine Medical Center visit the Wells Reserve on a regular basis to collect data from the rodents that they capture and release from approximately 150 traps that they have placed throughout the Reserve. Ticks are collected from the mammals and analyzed for various diseases such as Lyme Disease and
Babesiosis.
